The NBA returned today with teams holding their first scrimmages inside the bubble against other teams. It has been fun seeing basketball being back and it was really fun seeing the huge lineup that the Nuggets started with in their game against the Washington Wizards.
The setups for these games in Orlando are pretty sweet but this is all new to everyone so there are going to be some kinks to work out and probably some awkward moments with no fans in the stands.
One of those moments happened today when they tried to do a “Let’s go Nuggets!” chant over the PA and, well, it didn’t work at all.
“Let’s Go Nuggets” chants didn’t go well 🥴

That wasn’t great but at least they are learning things as these scrimmages go on and before the real games kick off. And you gotta love the honesty from the announcer.
But yeah, with no fans in the arena those type of chants probably shouldn’t be attempted.
Fans had reactions to the failed chant:
Might be the most depressing "Let's go Nuggets" chant in team history pic.twitter.com/G0YkKkl2g5
