Brooklyn Nets fans should be well aware of the play-in wrinkle the NBA added ahead of the league’s restart.
While it gives the Washington Wizards a chance to catch the Orlando Magic and Brooklyn, the No. 1 reason the NBA instituted the play-in round is so Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans — who the Nets play on Wednesday at 7 p.m. — have an increased chance to make the 2020 Playoffs.
Unfortunately for Nets fans, they won’t get to see Williamson in action when they heard over to YES Network (or NBA TV for the Brooklyn fans who are outside the market) on Wednesday.
Williamson had to leave the bubble to attend to an “urgent family medical matter” and has yet to return to the bubble, per Cody Taylor of USA Today SMG’s Rookie Wire.
