Watch: Dolphins’ DeVante Parker joins ‘Good Morning Football’

Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker made plenty of noise on the field last season with his play — serving as the constant catalyst of big plays and exploding onto the scene, finally living up to his billing as a 1st-round draft selection. By the end of the year, the Dolphins were so convinced in Parker’s outlook for years to come that the team locked him into a 4-year contract extension, which will help keep Parker as a consistent target in South Florida throughout the early years of the Tua Tagovailoa era.

But Parker, just ahead of the opening of team facilities, has created a different kind of buzz — it was recently announced that the Dolphins’ receiver was going to be debuting a cartoon series that Parker himself produced.

To help premiere the cartoon, Parker made an appearance on NFL Network’s ‘Good Morning Football’ yesterday and while on the air Parker spoke about the series and his inspiration for getting involved in animation, as well as several topics regarding his play and the Miami Dolphins organization.

Parker is a well-known Spongebob Squarepants fan, and he cited the popular cartoon series as a catalyst for him ultimately making the leap into animation for himself. Between the added focus Parker referenced on his diet and training regimen, preparing for the season and now his production efforts for ‘Uncle Vante’, Parker will have plenty on his plate. And if he rises to these challenges like he did for the Dolphins in 2019, odds are we’ll be seeing plenty more of ‘Uncle Vante’ and plenty more of Parker in the end zone.
