For Kevin Garnett, nothing may top what happened to him earlier in 2020 — the former Brooklyn Nets big man was voted into Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, alongside Tim Duncan and the late Kobe Bryant.
But even though Garnett may have peaked earlier in 2020, that doesn’t mean the Hall of Famer’s impressive year is at an end.
Now that he’s added Hall of Famer to his list of titles — along with All-Star, All-NBA, MVP, All-Defensive, Defensive Player of the Year and NBA Finals champion (and television host) — it appears Garnett wants to add one more basketball title to his list.
It’s not assistant coach or head coach. Not general manager or director of player operations, either.
Garnett is interested in becoming an Owner.
Garnett and “a group of investors” are “seriously interested in exploring [a] bid” for the Minnesota Timberwolves — who the NBA legend started his career with — according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
