The NFL offseason is typically a time for players to rest their bodies and try new things. For Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker, the rest will be well-earned — Parker went out and posted career numbers for the Dolphins and earned himself a new long-term contract with the team for his efforts. After several seasons of frustration, Parker finally seemed to have everything go right in 2019.
Perhaps the only regret for the 2019 season for Parker is the lack of a Pro Bowl bid — thought that comes at no fault of Parker’s after a 1,200 yard season and 9 touchdowns.
But beyond rest, Parker seems to have invested some of his time into a new opportunity — a cartoon series.
This is fun: #Dolphins WR DeVante Parker will release a cartoon series called #UncleVante tomorrow at 9:15 am ET on his IG/TW. It chronicles the relationship between @DeVanteParker11 & “nephew” @ThePeeWeeParker as they navigate through life & the NFL season on and off the field. pic.twitter.com/gF9zhuLBhw

Parker’s cartoon series spotlights Parker and a fictional nephew, Pee Wee. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported yesterday that the first episode is approximately one minute in length — and not much else is currently known about the project at this point. Parker will get a chance to reveal the first episode today courtesy of his Instagram account, so it won’t be long before we find out what the fuss is about.
