Curious to see how the Boston Celtics look after a four-month layoff? Look no further.
While it will be nothing compared to the exhibition scrimmage against the Oklahoma City Thunder scheduled for Friday night at 5 p.m., a glimpse behind the barrier created by the so-called Disney ‘bubble’ ought to give you at least a hint of where the team is as far its conditioning goes.
With the entire roster present and as healthy as they have been at any time this season, the Celtics look to be as likely as any team to claim the Larry O’Brien trophy as their own.
But they’ll need to be in top shape, with no rust or fatigue dragging down what was a top-five offense and defense before the COVID-19 hiatus shut everything down.
With the great leap forward made by both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, growth in the rookies and (hopefully) healthy Kemba Walker, Gordon Hayward and Robert Williams, Boston is poised to make some playoff noise.
Watch the video above to see them getting into game shape at the Disney NBA Campus — we’re less than a week away from live games again.}
