From playing golf to taking bike rides, players have several different options to consider when looking for ways to stay entertained at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.

On Thursday, New Orleans Pelicans rookie Nicolo Melli threw teammate J.J. Redick under the bus when he said Redick stood him up on the golf course. Instead, Melli went to the pool, received therapy and read a book during his day off from practice.

Meanwhile, Washington Wizards rookie Rui Hachimura went on a boat ride with other members of the team. The group rode on a pontoon boat at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, where they may or may not have seen baby alligators, according to Hachimura.

In addition to the boat ride, Hachimura also said that he has been learning about taxes since he has to file in the United States and in his homeland of Japan. Players typically have to file federal, state and city taxes during a given season and Hachimura also has to pay taxes in Japan.

As the Wizards prepare for the season restart this month, head coach Scott Brooks said Hachimura arrived looking noticeably stronger and he has also even improved his shooting form. Without John Wall and Bradley Beal, Hachimura could play a big role once the season resumes.

The Wizards kick off the season restart July 31 vs. the Phoenix Suns.
