KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee baseball team and coach Tony Vitello picked up a commitment recently from a junior college player from Texas.
Seth Stephenson, a shortstop for Temple College in Temple, Texas, announced his intention to continue his baseball career with the Volunteers on a social media post via Twitter on Monday, July 13.
He tweeted:
“I am Blessed to say I have committed to play Baseball and further my education at the University of Tennessee.
“Thank you to everyone who has believed in me along the way. I can’t wait to be apart of #VolNation!”
Stephenson, a switch hitter, from Buda, Texas, attended Hays High School. He hit .315 for the Leopards last season and scored 24 runs, stole eight bases and had six triples.
