The Kansas City Chiefs somehow managed to win a Super Bowl and then lock up most of their important names in the offseason, all while staying under the cap.
WR Sammy Watkins, offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, cornerback Bashaud Breeland and, oh yeah, quarterback Patrick Mahomes all got paid this offseason.
On Tuesday, the Chiefs added defensive tackle Chris Jones to that list as the deadline to extend players who were franchise tagged approached. And Mahomes sent a couple of tweets celebrating the return of the player who was everywhere in their Super Bowl victory.
Mahomes start with a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air GIF:

And to all the doubters who thought the Chiefs couldn’t get it done:
And yall thought we couldn’t… 😂😂😂 nvm #RunItBack

The Chiefs are still going to be so good again this season.
