ESPN ranks the Browns offensive weapons 2nd-best in the NFL in 2020

It’s up from 3rd in 2019

Count ESPN’s Bill Barnwell among those who believe the Cleveland Browns have the potential to score a lot of points with one of the most dynamic collections of offensive talent in the league. Barnwell ranked the Browns second among the NFL’s 32 teams in terms of offensive weaponry in his latest ratings.

The ranking involves only the wide receivers, tight ends and running backs. No quarterbacks or line play. And it’s geared for just 2020, not looking back at 2019 or earlier.

Just listing out the names of the players who will handle the pigskin, it’s easy to see why Barnwell is bullish.

  • Nick Chubb
  • Kareem Hunt
  • Odell Beckham Jr.
  • Jarvis Landry
  • Austin Hooper
  • David Njoku

It’s a lineup brimming with speed, skill and youthful talent. Only the Super Bowl champion Chiefs rank higher.

It is important to remember that what looks great on paper doesn’t always translate to the field. The Browns ranked 3rd in this list a year ago but sputtered to a 6-10 finish.
