Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is set to be featured on the August cover of GQ Magazine.

He joins a long line of NFL players to be featured on the cover of the fashion magazine formerly known as Gentlemen’s Quarterly. That group includes players such as Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Odell Beckham Jr., Rob Gronkowski and others. The magazine follows fashion, culture and style for men through a variety of different outlets.

Mahomes’ cover for GQ comes following his Super Bowl LIV victory and MVP award, as well as his record-breaking $503 million dollar extension.

The cover shows Mahomes wearing a turquoise tracksuit with red and black accents along with his No. 15 chain. The cover also shows his name and reads: “The new leader of the NFL.”

The expanded feature story on Mahomes, which is now online, is titled:  “How Patrick Mahomes became the superstar the NFL needs right now.”

The story that will appear in the August 2020 magazine is titled: “All The Right Moves.”

The story, by Clay Skipper, gives insight into Mahomes’ contract, his support for Black Lives Matter, and more.

Here is a teaser of some of the photos from Mahomes’ GQ photoshoot.

The August issue of GQ is due to hit newsstands during the last week of July.
