The Cincinnati Bengals are working hard to make sure Joe Burrow is as comfortable as possible heading into his rookie season, even working in some of his favorite LSU plays into the playbook.

But what about actually adding one of his favorite LSU wideouts via the 2021 NFL draft?

A new 2021 mock draft from Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski does just that at No. 3:

“Chase excelled working from the slot where he averaged 24.3 yards per reception, per Pro Football Focus, even though he regularly works outside the numbers. He’s the best all-around receiver in what should be another stacked class.”

This isn’t the first time Chase has been mocked to the Bengals already. But it’s not hard to see why it keeps happening.

Chase, after all, might just be the best wideout in the 2021 class and his rapport with Burrow last year was hard to ignore on his way to 1,700-plus yards and 20 scores.

While the Bengals drafted Tee Higgins at the start of Round 2 this year, A.J. Green and John ross are question marks beyond this season, leaving just Tyler Boyd and Higgins as the surest things for a developing Burrow. Adding Chase to the mix could help assure that development keeps going smoothly.
