WATCH: Anthony Miller hits the practice field with Mitchell Trubisky

WR Anthony Miller is the latest Bears skill position player to be working out with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky this offseason.

When discussing potential breakout players for the Chicago Bears, receiver Anthony Miller is someone that immediately stands out. The former second-round pick is entering his third season, and he’s determined to make this his best year yet.

After a solid rookie campaign, Miller got off to a slower start in 2019 before showing exactly what he’s capable of when this offense is operating effectively. There was a five-game stretch where he had 33 receptions for 431 yards and two touchdowns.

But Miller suffered his second straight injury to his left shoulder, this time returning a kickoff in the season finale against the Minnesota Vikings. Miller had surgery on that same shoulder, but the Bears believe he’ll be good to go for training camp later this month.

Still, Miller has had to be cautious this offseason as to not do too much while still recovering. But ahead of camp, it seems that Miller feels good enough to get out on the practice field. And he definitely impressed with his speed in this quick clip that he shared on Instagram.

Miller is the latest Bears skill position player to be working out with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. Given the nature of an entirely virtual offseason, Trubisky took it upon himself to organize offseason workouts with players in the Chicago area, including receiver Allen Robinson, running backs David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen, as well as new tight ends Cole Kmet and Demetrius Harris.

While Miller wasn’t able to participate given his recovery, it sounds like he’s close to returning now that he’s putting some work in on the field.

While the NFL union recommended that players not participate in group workouts because of the virus threat, that hasn’t stopped many across the country from putting those finishing touches ahead of training camp.
