Nick Chubb is one of the best running backs in the NFL already, just two years into his Browns career. He’s quickly proven to be an incredibly gifted runner, one capable of making defenders look silly on his way to long touchdown runs.
Over the last two seasons, Chubb ranks third in rushing yards, fifth in yards per game, and he’s done so with the highest yards per carry figure of any RB in the top 20 in rushing yards or carries. Just for good measure, he’s caught 56 passes to help him rank fifth in total yards from scrimmage in 2018-2019.
He’s undeniably a top five NFL running back. So when ESPN’s “Get Up” show conducts a survey of more than 50 NFL executives, scouts and players and Chubb isn’t in the top five, it smells fishy.
Somehow, despite all the evidence to the contrary, Chubb is not in the top five. He’s not even next in line, either. The survey ranks Chubb as the seventh-best RB in the league.

The six players above Chubb are all very good players, no argument against their abilities is intended here. But Chubb belongs no lower than fifth and even that is probably lowballing the Browns star RB.
