Shots fired, Part 19?
The list is growing so it’s challenging keeping up but Brooks Koepka is at it again on social media, keeping all us media types busy.
On Thursday, Golf Digest posted a photo of Koepka on Instagram to solicit photo captions. It’s always a fun game to play and this particular image showed a frustrated Koepka, rubbing his forehead while sitting on a tee-box marker on the fifth hole.
He played the back nine first so it was his 12th hole during the first round at the Workday Charity Open, and it wasn’t going all that great, as he carded three bogeys and a double before making the turn. He turned things around a bit with three birdies on his last nine holes but finished the day 2 over.

Back to the photo. Koepka replied to the “caption this” Instagram post with this:
When you hear that annoying voice on tv and look up and see it’s @paigegolf.
That would be Paige Mackenzie of Golf Channel’s Morning Drive show, who said that Koepka should be fined for his Twitter post on Monday in which Koepka was taking a shot, we all assume, at Bryson DeChambeau with a Kenny Powers GIF, although he didn’t specifically mention him.

Mackenzie called the tweet “completely unprofessional. It’s beyond ‘shots fired’ and I think he should’ve been fined by the PGA Tour and I certainly hope that he is,” she said on the show. “You don’t treat your fellow competitors that way.”
We can probably assume that Koepka doesn’t agree with Mackenzie’s position.
