The Philadelphia 76ers are officially on their way to Orlando to resume the 2019-20 season and they will be having another opportunity to chase the championship that they so desperately crave. They made plenty of aggressive moves in the offseason of 2019 to make sure that they are in a position to succeed in 2020.
Led by their superstar big man, Joel Embiid, the team believes they have a chance to win a title in this season resumption. Initially, the big man admitted that he was not the biggest fan of this idea as he is worried about the coronavirus–and rightfully, so–but it appears that he has now embraced the resumption.
After showing up to the airport in a hazmat suit, he took to Instagram to let everybody know his main purpose for the restart. He quoted rapper 50 Cent with the caption “Get rich or die trying” and his location in the post was “Larry O’Brien” to signify the trophy.
Embiid may have hated the idea, to begin with, but the big man is the key to bringing that trophy back to Philadelphia. The Sixers will need him at his absolute best to make sure that they succeed inside the bubble. [lawrence-related id=34365,34374,34358]
