For the second time in less than two months, a worker has died at the construction site of SoFi Stadium, according to the Los Angeles Times. The worker exhibited “signs of a health issue” and his death was deemed to be a “personal health-related cause,” according to a statement from Turner-AECOM Hunt.
“His co-workers promptly summoned help and an onsite EMT and local paramedics responded,” Turner-AECOM Hunt said in a statement. “Unfortunately, it is with great sadness we confirm that he passed away of what appears to be a personal health related cause.”
The first construction worker, Juan Becerra, who died at the site of the stadium fell 110 feet from the roof of the building in June. Work on SoFi Stadium was paused for two days after the accident.
The stadium is currently 97% complete and slated to open on August 22 for a Rams-Chargers preseason game.
