Drone footage shows 97% complete SoFi Stadium, logo on roof

SoFi Stadium is just about done and it looks fantastic from the sky.

No matter which angle you look at SoFi Stadium from, the details and architecture is incredible. Whether it’s a video from inside the building with views of the newly laid-down turf and the completed Oculus or drone footage outside the stadium, it’s easy to see why the Rams’ new home is going to cost more than $5 billion when it’s all said and done.

The latest video comes from the eye in the sky as a drone hovered above the stadium to capture all angles. The surrounding area is really coming together with parking lots and greenery going into place, as well as the two small lakes just outside the stadium.

There’s still work being done on the roof, on American Airlines Plaza – which is a performance venue within the stadium – and along the exterior of the whole building, but signage is being hung and the finer details are being completed.

In the drone video, you can see the SoFi Stadium logo and branding on the roof, as well as lettering spread on the ground as workers prepare to hang it along the edge of the stadium.

SoFi Stadium was scheduled to open in a few weeks for a Taylor Swift concert, but with the coronavirus pandemic canceling events across the country, there now won’t be anything held at the stadium until Rams-Chargers in Week 2 of the preseason on Aug. 22.

The NFLPA is still pushing to get all preseason games canceled this year, which would then push the official opening of SoFi Stadium back to Sept. 13 when the Rams begin the regular season against the Cowboys.
