Oklahoma is taking advantage of the moment.
The Sooners just landed their second No. 1 overall quarterback in three years as Caleb Williams made his commitment known on Saturday night. This is two years removed from Spencer Rattler signing with Oklahoma as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2019 recruiting class and after Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy in 2017 and ’18.
Within an hour after Williams’ commitment, Lincoln Riley sent a video out from his Twitter account with an acronym: QBU

In it are cameos from Mayfield, Murray, Trevor Knight and a host of the top national talking heads talking about Riley’s ability to coach quarterbacks. A behind-the-scenes look at a Nissan Heisman House commercial and other workouts also made the video.
Oklahoma’s 2021 recruiting class now stands at 11 members and has its leader in the fold. The Sooners started Saturday in the low-30s in the recruiting rankings and are already up into the teens.
