Titans’ Kevin Byard takes on new role with United Way of Greater Nashville

Kevin Byard continues to show his leadership, both on and off the field.

Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard is taking on a new role off the football field.

According to Jim Wyatt of Titans Online, Byard has been selected as the official spokesperson for the United Way of Greater Nashville and will continue doing what he has done for years now: give back to the community in which he plays.

Byard released a statement on his new role, via Wyatt.

“I’m honored and excited to team up with United Way of Greater Nashville,” Byard said. “We both share a passion for impacting those in need in our community and striving to give everyone the resources needed to be successful. I’m looking forward to building our community and launching our work together with Stuff the Bus.”

The United Way of Greater Nashville’s president and CEO, Brian Hassett, expressed his excitement about partnering with Byard.

“We’re incredibly lucky to have Kevin on our side,” Hassett said. “United Way has partnered with the Tennessee Titans for more than 20 years. Our partnership is so strong because of our shared interest in increasing public awareness about the issues facing our community, and how we can work together to better serve our neighbors.”

Byard, who was selected by the Titans in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, has proven to be a leader during his time in Nashville, both on and off the field. This is the perfect role for a man who has made countless contributions to the community over the years.
