Von Miller reacts to Cam Newton signing with Patriots

Here’s what Von Miller tweeted after Cam Newton agreed to terms with the Patriots.

Two days after quarterback Cam Newton agreed to a one-year deal with the Patriots, Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller reacted to the news on his official Twitter page.

“Congrats to Cam!” Miller wrote on Tuesday. “Always been a Huge Cam fam. Happy to see him get another opportunity to showcase his Talent ! A MVP and True competitor!.. See you Week 5 😈”

That’s a classy message from Miller, who is 3-0 against Newton in his career. Miller played against Newton (when he was a Panther) twice in the regular season and once in the Super Bowl. In those contests, Miller totaled 15 tackles, four quarterback hits, 4.5 sacks and three forced fumbles.

Miller was named the MVP of Super Bowl 50 after Denver defeated Carolina 24-10. He recorded 2.5 sacks and forced two fumbles in that contest.

Miller will face Newton again this year when New England hosts the Broncos on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 11:00 a.m. on CBS (full schedule here).
