The Denver Broncos’ 2015 defense that led the team to a win in Super Bowl 50 was named the best defensive unit of the decade by Pro Football Focus this week.
Several members of that defense reacted on Twitter, including former outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware:

Free agent NFL safety Darius Butler said that 2015 squad was the best defense he’s seen live.
Yea I remember that whoopin! That 2015 Broncos squad beat 15-1 Carolina in the Bowl. 58/94 comin off that edge was DIFFERENT! Made Talib and C. Harris that much better. I gotta take that. The best Defense I’ve seen live. LOB was a close 2nd.

Even Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had to admit that Denver’s defense was “ridiculous.”
That defense was ridiculous. Even though I don't want to give that team credit… ever 😉 https://t.co/Xnqf9blfxn

The Broncos defeated the Panthers 24-10 in the Super Bowl following the 2015 season and outside linebacker Von Miller was named the game’s MVP. Denver’s defense completely shut down NFL MVP Cam Newton, who was sacked six times, threw an interception and had no touchdown passes in the game.
