Carl Reiner, an absolute legend in television, film and comedy, died at the age of 98, per multiple reports.
He joined a Hall of Fame-level writers room on Your Show of Shows, created and starred in The Dick Van Dyke Show, did The 2000 Year Old Man with Mel Brooks, and starred in all kinds of projects from The Jerk to Ocean’s Eleven.
He was also prolific on Twitter right up until his passing, and one of the last tweets he sent out has gone viral after reports of his death broke, because it’s such a beautiful sentiment and message to his family and about his life:
Nothing pleases me more than knowing that I have lived the best life possible by having met & marrying the gifted Estelle (Stella) Lebost—who partnered with me in bringing Rob, Annie & Lucas Reiner into to this needy & evolving world.
