Malcolm Jenkins is concerned about the NFL’s return: ‘Football is a nonessential business’

There’s still quite a bit of time between now and when the NFL is actually scheduled to make its return in August.
But there are already growing concerns from people that it might not actually be a great idea for the league to come back.
Count the Saint’s Malcolm Jenkins as one of those people.
In an interview with CNN, Jenkins called football a “nonessential business”, and said that before he feels comfortable coming back to play games, risk from the coronavirus “has to be really eliminated.”.
I think until we get to the point where we have protocols in place and until we get to the place, as a country, where we feel safe doing it, we have to understand that football is a nonessential business. And so we don’t need to do it, Malcolm Jenkins via CNN.
It’s too early to tell how this will play out, but it’s clear that Jenkins doesn’t plan on playing football if the coronavirus is still running rampant out there
