The Tennessee Titans have had their fair share of highs and lows playing against AFC South rivals.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are no exception, though the Titans have mostly had the upper-hand over them throughout recent history, with the exception of Week 3 of last season when the Jags won 20-7 on the strength of an astounding nine sacks.
Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell, who tallied three of those sacks as a member of the Jags, has been tasked with stopping the Titans’ offense on more than one occasion.
On the “2 for 1 Drafts” podcast with Austin Gayle and Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus, Campbell tackled a number of topics, and had praise for Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for (Taylor) Lewan,” Campbell said. “I think he’s still young and still developing his technique but he’s a baller. He’s tough. He’s got a lot of heart.”
Campbell also named Joe Thomas and Joe Staley as some players he’s taken the field around that he holds in a high regard, and he also praised how much Houston Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil has developed.
The defensive end tallied 56 tackles and 6.5 sacks in his final season with Jacksonville in 2019, and will be tasked with adjusting to his third NFL team this season after being traded to the Ravens.
Despite changing teams and divisions, Campbell will once again square-off with the Titans in 2020, as Baltimore hosts Tennessee in a Week 11 matchup.
