Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. The defensive back told The Athletic‘s Nicki Jhabvala that his “symptoms are minor.”
Jackson started feeling congested on Monday and chills were added to his symptoms on Wednesday so he went to get tested. After testing positive, Jackson will self-quarantine for two weeks.
Doctors told Jackson that he likely picked up the virus while traveling over the weekend.
Jackson said he was told he likely contracted the virus this past weekend. Not during the Broncos' march in Denver on June 6.

Jackson is the second known Broncos player to have a confirmed case of the coronavirus this offseason. Two months ago, star outside linebacker Von Miller tested positive for the virus.
After two weeks of self-quarantine, Miller tested negative.
Despite reports of multiple players testing positive for the virus, the NFL still plans to start training camps on time in late July. As of today, preseason is also scheduled to start on time in August with the regular season opener set for Sept. 10.
