Burke is a 6-foot, 202-pound rising senior at Bradley Central High School, and holds an offer from Tennessee. A 3-star prospect, the 247Sports Composite rates Burke as the No. 66 athlete in his class and No. 27 player in Tennessee. Appalachian State, Mississippi State and Indiana were among the other schools to offer him.
Former inside linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer was UT’s primary recruiter for Burke, but has since moved to the NFL with the New York Giants. With Tennessee’s 2021 class filling up quickly, there may not have been a spot available for Burke.
