The Basketball Tournament unveiled on Tuesday the 24-team bracket for the annual single-elimination competition set to take place July 4-14 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Carmen’s Crew, which consists of former Ohio State alumni, earned the No. 1 overall seed and an automatic bye into the Round of 16, set to take place July 6-9, after winning TBT 2019. Overseas Elite, the second overall seed, could be the favorite given its history in TBT and after recently adding 18-year NBA veteran Joe Johnson to the roster.

TBT previously announced last month its plans to play a scaled-down format with strict safety protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The 2019 version of TBT involved 64 teams at eight regional sites throughout the United States while the 2020 format will feature only 24 teams at one quarantined location.

The 2020 TBT will be fanless due to the coronavirus as players and staff will arrive five days prior to the start of the event for testing. Players will be quarantined and tested for the coronavirus throughout the tournament. A single positive test by a team member would result in the removal of the entire team.

The game schedule for the $1 million winner-take-all-prize will be announced in the coming days while all 23 games will be televised on an ESPN network.
