Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is coming off a season where he had 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Cook finished 10th in rushing and fourth in rushing touchdowns, according to Fox Sports.
Patrik Walker of CBS Sports ranked him as the 10th best running back in the NFL. Here’s what he said about putting Cook there:
“There’s no doubt Cook has shown he’s one of the best running backs in all of football.
The problem for the former second-round pick is while that’s obviously true, so are questions surrounding his durability — his battle with injuries having tied down his potential prior to 2019.”
Cook has been in the news lately for reportedly refraining from team-related activities until he receives a revised contract.
I think based on how the Vikings offense is so reliant on the run, that the team should try to re-sign him this offseason. You can read more about why Minnesota should do that here.
