The next leg to finish drives for Lincoln Riley’s high-octane offense may just be a homegrown product.

Hunter Everett was a potent weapon for the Newcastle Racers in high school. Named Oklahoma’s 4A All-District Special Team Player of the Year per kickingworld.com, the small-town kid has a big-time leg.

Everett banged home 48 of his 97 kickoffs over three years at Newcastle High School. Missing just two extra points (non-blocks) in three seasons, Everett is not just for punching in 15-yarders. His career in-game long was a 49-yarder in 2015.

In 2016, Everett lit up the board at Kicking World’s camps as he holds the record for the longest field goal made in camp history with a 65-yarder.

Oklahoma kicks off their season on September 5 at home against Missouri State.
