During this pandemic, it is always a ray of hope for those struggling to see people step up and help out. The Philadelphia 76ers have been that ray of hope for a majority of this time as many members of the organization have stepped up and helped out when called upon.
Sixers guard Josh Richardson is now getting into the act in his home state of Oklahoma by donating $25,000 to the state’s Food Bank. He is a native of Edmond, Oklahoma and he is a graduate of Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Richardson told The Oklahoman:
These uncertain times have really reinforced how important family and community is. Oklahoma will always be home for me and I’m fortunate to be in the position to give back to my hometown and the community that raised me.
Richardson joins a long list of Sixers who have helped out others during this time as Tobias Harris has done a lot for the community as has Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and the Sixers organization themselves. [lawrence-related id=32918,32912,32904]
