Villanova forward Saddiq Bey will stay in the 2020 NBA Draft after signing with Excel Sports Management, he told ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-8 forward is projected to be a first-round pick after a strong sophomore campaign with the Wildcats. Bey was named to the All-Big East Team after averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 31 games played.
Bey was perhaps most impressive as a shooter last season with Villanova. He shot 45.1% from 3-point range on 5.6 attempts per game while he emerged as one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in the country. Bey led all players 6-foot-8 and taller in total 3-pointers.

The NBA last week announced that the Draft Lottery will occur on Aug. 25 while the Draft will take place on Oct. 15. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, prospects have been prohibited from interviewing and working out with teams in person but that could soon change.
The NBA is considering hosting a Combine-like event in August at Disney World near Orlando, Florida, to allow teams to meet with prospects ahead of the Draft. Teams would be able to gather medical information and possibly take measurements while workouts would not happen.
