Reche Caldwell spent six years in the NFL, four with the Chargers. His best year came in 2006 with the Patriots, when he caught 61 passes for 760 yards and four touchdowns. He had another 16 catches and a TD in the 2006 postseason.

Brady, who was the Patriots’ quarterback in 2006 when Caldwell was on the team, took to Instagram today to pay his respects to his former teammate.
Take a look.
While Caldwell had a strong regular season with the Patriots that year, he had a disastrous performance in the 2006 AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts, making several untimely mistakes that ultimately cost the Patriots a shot at another Super Bowl appearance.
Unfortunately, Caldwell’s mistakes in that game haunted him for the rest of his life, which took a troubling turn post-football and ultimately ended in tragedy.
