The run of commitments on the recruiting trail for Oklahoma is still in a waiting phase, but the Sooners got positive news from one of the country’s best outside linebackers on Friday.
Jeremiah ‘Scooby’ Williams is a four-star outside linebacker from Alabama with offers from both in-state schools—Alabama and Auburn. He released his final six, with Oklahoma making the list.

Williams is considered the 227th best player in the 2021 recruiting class by Rivals. He is listed as the 17th best outside linebacker in the country and the sixth best player in the state of Alabama.
Oklahoma joins Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and LSU as the final suitors for the highly-touted outside linebacker. The Sooners pulled the trigger with an offer to Williams in mid-Jan.
Lincoln Riley and Oklahoma’s 2021 recruiting class currently has seven commitments. The Sooners have one talented edge rusher committed already in four-star outside linebacker Clayton Smith.
