Michigan has a tantalizing non-conference slate in the future.
It starts this year in Seattle with the first of two games against Washington. But the Wolverines also have home-and-homes scheduled going from 2024-27 with Oklahoma and Texas. Notre Dame comes back on the schedule in 2033.
But could another big matchup be on the horizon?
According to Brody Miller, a beat writer covering LSU for The Athletic, it looks like the Tigers and Wolverines could have a non-bowl matchup forthcoming.
However, at this juncture, nothing has been announced, nor do we know whether it would be a neutral site one-off, or a home-and-home series matchup.
Scott Woodward also says #LSU has talked with Michigan about playing in the future, and he wants it to happen.

We’ve seen Michigan be aggressive with scheduling in the past. It played neutral site season openers against Alabama and Florida, resurrected, albeit briefly, the series with Notre Dame as well as having had a home-and-home with Utah.
Of course, with LSU, there would be the additional subplot considering the Tigers had Michigan alumnus Les Miles as a longtime head coach. Of course, Miles departed in 2016 and was replaced by Ed Orgeron, first on an interim basis before becoming the permanent head coach.
