Drew Brees has rightfully been getting slammed all day since he said in an interview with Yahoo Finance that he “will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country” by protesting peacefully during the playing of the national anthem.
His star wide receiver, Michael Thomas immediately ripped Brees for his ignorant statement. Other NFL players criticized him as well. And LeBron James did, too.
Saints veteran safety Malcom Jenkins, who has long been a leader in pushing for social justice and racial equality, sounded off in an emotional video late Wednesday afternoon, a video that he later deleted.
But here is that video and his message to Brees:
“You’re somebody who I had a great deal of respect for, but sometimes, you should shut the f–k up.”

It will be interesting to see how Brees responds to all of this that he brought upon himself with a really ignorant statement.
