As Jeff Potrykus, Colton Bartholomew and others reported yesterday Wisconsin football is expected to allow its players back on campus June 8 to begin in-person workouts.
#Badgers AM rewind: UW football players had to be smiling yesterday. Why? Because they're set to start returning to campus next week (June 8). Still a long way to go for games to be held but this is the next step. https://t.co/k07jv6IdHr

This announcement comes on the heels of the NCAA allowing athletes to return to campus for voluntary workouts June 1 and other teams around the Big Ten setting their June dates for players to return to campus.
It is expected that the workouts will begin with low-number, weight room workouts until on-field activities are allowed to begin.
With no spring or early-summer preparation period this news is great for both the prospects of the season starting on-schedule in September and for the Badgers to have adequate time to practice and prepare for the season.
