Packers get to work on draft class, signing seventh-round pick Jonathan Garvin

The Packers signed Jonathan Garvin, the 242nd overall pick in the 2020 draft, to a four-year rookie contract.

Last is first for the Green Bay Packers and signing members of their 2020 draft class. The team announced the signing of seventh-round pick Jonathan Garvin on Tuesday, the first of the Packers’ draft picks to officially sign a rookie deal.

Garvin, an edge rusher from the University of Miami, was the 242nd overall pick in the 2020 draft and the last of the Packers’ nine picks.

Garvin produced 10.5 sacks and 26 tackles for losses over his final two seasons with the Hurricanes.

Over the Cap estimates Garvin’s deal to be worth roughly $3.37 million over four years, with a signing bonus of just under $80,000 and a cap hit in 2020 of just under $630,000.

The Packers have eight other draft picks to sign, including first-round pick Jordan Love.

The Packers’ rookie contract pool is about $7.93 million in 2020.
