For his entire golf career, Tiger Woods has taken the course on Sundays wearing red and black. It’s a look that is basically synonymous with Tiger’s legendary career.
Well, just don’t expect Peyton Manning to rock the same look.
Peyton and Tiger were teamed up for Sunday’s The Match against Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady at the Medalist Golf Club. And while Phil and Brady wore matching navy outfits, teammates Peyton and Tiger weren’t matching at all. Tiger was wearing his Sunday reds, and Peyton wore a pink shirt.
During the second hole, though, Peyton said he was actually asked to wear red and black like Tiger. He turned down that request for the most SEC of reasons.
Peyton was asked if he wanted to wear black and red like Tiger. The former Tennessee Vol wasn’t having it.

Peyton, who went to Tennessee, didn’t want to give Georgia Bulldogs fans the satisfaction of seeing him in red and black. The decision was entirely fueled by his commitment to SEC rivalries — nothing else.
But hey, you have to appreciate that kind of foresight from Peyton. I’m sure Georgia would have been all over that color combination.
