BRISTOL — Former University of Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning has turned down several opportunities to cover college football and the NFL from the broadcast booth.
But the two-time Super Bowl winner with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos has found his spot in the media.
During the 2019 football season, Manning went to work for ESPN hosting “Peyton’s Places”, a show on the network’s ESPN+ streaming network.
The show was a hit with football fans from coast to coast as it explored the history of the game by interviewing many of football legendary players, coaches and figures and taking a not-so-serious approach to pro football.
The Emmy Award-nominated show will return for another go-around during the 2020 football season.
ESPN announced that “Peyton’s Places” will begin its second season on Thanksgiving Day and run through the Super Bowl. ESPN+ will air 15 episodes in the second season.
