If you’ve managed to stay off Twitter for this long, there are seemingly few reasons to subject yourself to the highs and lows of the platform – but now that he has a bit more time on his hands after retiring from the NFL, Giants legend Eli Manning is getting social.
Manning sent his first tweet on his verified account on Saturday, and referenced Hoosiers character Jimmy Chitwood. We can only hope Manning spends his Sunday roasting his brother’s golf swing while Peyton teams up with Tiger Woods in nationally televised charity golf match.
To paraphrase Jimmy Chitwood, “I don’t know if it’ll make any change, but I figure it’s time for me to start playing social media." pic.twitter.com/Af8IFMOiEQ

Manning’s old rival, former Patriots and current Bucs quarterback Tom Brady, had a great response to the news, joking that Manning only shows up in the fourth quarter – a reference to the Giants’ two Super Bowl victories over Brady’s Pats.
Welcome @EliManning, In typical fashion, you never showed up until the 4th quarter anyway 😜 https://t.co/Wbun1VS2A0
