After the release of “The Last Dance” documentary, many basketball fans around the world, especially the younger generation, have a new outlook on the conversation for the greatest player of all-time.
Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is among those that have changed their answer to that question. Morant previously believed LeBron James was the GOAT but the rookie told Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report that stance has now changed.
“I haven’t seen Jordan play in person other than highlights,” Morant said. “You hear people talk about him and “The Last Dance” actually gave me an opportunity to see how he actually was, how he played, his mindset. Just watching that and taking everything out of that, I think he’s the GOAT.”
“I deserve it.” @JaMorant says he’s ROY over Zion 😤

Morant discussed a variety of topics with Rooks and eventually went on to say that James is the best of his generation while Jordan is the best overall player in history.
Morant was among the players that actively tweeted during “The Last Dance” documentary as he was surprised by some of the stuff that happened in the 1990s just like the rest of the world.
Overall, the documentary offered younger fans the opportunity to watch Jordan and there is a newfound appreciation now for just how dominant he was with the Chicago Bulls.
