Chase Claypool will be catching passes from Ben Roethlisberger soon

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool has said that he’ll be heading to the U.S. soon to get some work in with Ben Roethlisberger.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have plenty of receiving options when he makes his return to the field this season. That includes rookie wide receiver, Chase Claypool.

The 2020 rookie draft class is transitioning from college to the pros during an unprecedented era in sports. At a time when it’s crucial for an athlete to gather with his new team and learn by example, they currently aren’t permitted to gather at all because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

That hasn’t stopped players from training with one another, though. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster has been performing drills with quarterback Mason Rudolph and working out with running back James Conner.

Soon, Claypool will be catching passes from his new QB. The sooner, the better, in my opinion. Since training camp will likely be delayed — if there even is one — Claypool will need to start getting a feel for how Roethlisberger operates. Anything a rookie can learn from a veteran at this early stage should be beneficial as they move forward into the season.
