Salter is a dual-threat prospect from Cedar Hill, Texas who rates as the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in his class, and the No. 43 prospect in Texas at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds.
The 2021 prospect committed to Tennessee over Auburn, Baylor and Ole Miss.
With a lean build, Salter throws with plenty of zip and is extremely dangerous when throwing on the move and escaping the pocket. His track and field success translates to the football field when outrunning pass rushers.
Salter is the first quarterback to join Tennessee’s 2021 recruiting class, which is sitting atop the SEC.
