Tennessee has been the talk of college football with its recruiting success in recent weeks, and that continued this weekend with the commitment of 4-star defensive tackle Katron Evans.

Evans is a 6-foot-4, 320-pound defensive lineman from Baltimore, who is the No. 9 defensive tackle in the country and No. 8 player in Maryland per the 247Sports Composite. UT landed Evans’ commitment over Georgia, Auburn, Alabama and Florida.
An explosive interior defensive lineman with quick and disruptive hands, Evans has the size to contribute early in his college career.
Evans is a rising senior at St. Frances Academy, where Tennessee has begun to build a pipeline. 4-star defensive lineman Dominic Bailey signed with the Vols in the 2020 cycle.
