The Tennessee Titans snagged cornerback Kristian Fulton at the end of the second round in the 2020 NFL Draft, which was a surprise to many who thought he would go as early as the first round.
Fulton (+6500) is about where you’d expect him to be in the odds for Defensive Rookie of the Year, as BetMGM has him landing in the middle of the pack among the top first-year defenders.
There are six cornerbacks on the list who have better odds than Fulton. They are as follows:
Jeff Okudah, Detroit Lions (+1400)
C.J. Henderson, Jacksonville Jaguars (+3000)
A.J. Terrell, Atlanta Falcons (+3500)
Jeff Gladney, Minnesota Vikings (+4000)
Damon Arnette, Oakland Raiders (+4000)
Jaylon Johnson, Chicago Bears (+5000)
Fulton’s placement on this list of odds is pretty interesting considering he was the ninth cornerback taken off the board late in the second round.
Perhaps Las Vegas thinks that Fulton is a bit better than his draft position would indicate, and that’s a feeling many experts and Titans fans alike certainly share about the LSU product.
Fulton will have ample opportunity to show his worth during his rookie campaign, as he’s expected to be one of the main contributors at slot cornerback. He’ll also provide depth on the outside when necessary.
