The 2020 schedule for the Kansas City Chiefs has been released, and at first glance, it looks to be a good schedule for the team. It seems like they should be able to take advantage of a few different parts of the schedule but it also won’t be a walk in the park.
Here are my takeaways from the Chiefs’ 2020 schedule. You can find the full schedule here for reference.
Tough opponents, easy schedule early
The early goings of the 2020 NFL season look to be a grinder for Kansas City as far as opponents. They open the season against three AFC playoff teams from last season in the Texans, Ravens and Patriots.
The nice thing is that the Chiefs will have extra time to prepare for Week 2 and Week 3 opponents because they start the season on “Thursday Night Football” and Week 3 is a “Monday Night Football” game. That also means two of the games will be played in primetime which comes with a little bit more pressure to perform.
Week 1 and Week 4 will occur at Arrowhead Stadium, which is also a nice early advantage.
