Report: Jadeveon Clowney unlikely to return to Seahawks

The team expects him to take much less money and haven’t closed the door on a possible return, but it seems unlikely now,

There have been some big moves in the NFC West this offseason. It appears another is coming. Free agent defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who played last season for the Seattle Seahawks after being acquired in a trade with the Houston Texans, is unlikely to return to Seattle.

The report comes from ESPN’s Brady Henderson.

According to the report, “the Seahawks have not closed the door entirely on a potential reunion with Clowney, but it isn’t considered likely at this point.”

Clowney would also have to take significantly less money than the Seahawks originally offered him.

In 13 games with the Seahawks last season, he had 31 tackles, three sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception. He returned the interception and one fumble for touchdowns.

Clowney played once against the Cardinals last season. He had a tackle, his interception and returned it for a touchdown.
