The former second-round pick has always been one to state his extremely high goals. He wanted 200 tackles in 2019. That obviously didn’t come to fruition, but it’s just another example of how high he wants his game to reach.
For the 2020 season, Leonard has his high on a trifecta of accolades. He told reporters in a conference call Wednesday that he wants to win the MVP, Defenisve Player of the Year and Super Bowl MVP awards.
Leonard’s goals in Year 3:
-Super Bowl
-League MVP
-Defensive Player of the YearSaid he met 3 or 4 of the 15 goals he wrote down last year.

Leonard isn’t afraid to dream big, and his production shows he’s one of the best linebackers in the league—even if he’s only been in the league for two seasons.
While the 2019 campaign wasn’t as strong as his rookie season, it was still undoubtedly productive. In 13 games, he finished with 121 tackles (71 solo), 7.0 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and five interceptions—the latter of the four being tied for the most in the league.
Leonard is one of the best young linebackers in the NFL and his progression continues to show as a player. Entering Year 3, the pressure will be on, but it won’t be anything compared to the goals he sets for himself.
