Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has a big target on his back.
So it goes for the No. 1 pick. But an interesting angle that hadn’t been explored yet is the idea some of his former LSU Tigers teammates might want a shot at him.
K’Lavon Chaisson, the No. 20 pick this year by the Jacksonville Jaguars, told Bleacher Report’s Tyler Conway he wants a shot at his former quarterback:
“Joe Burrow. Never got a chance to touch him at practice, never got a chance to breathe on him. Will be the first person I wanna hit. After I get him down on the ground, I’ll lay on him for a good ten seconds and take that fine. Make him feel what he missed out on for years.”
Chaisson will get his wish — the Bengals and Jaguars will play in Cincinnati. Pending the schedule release and actual date of the game, Chaisson might indeed be one of the first to sack Burrow.
And while this is all in good fun, plenty of Burrow’s LSU teammates were quite candid in an interview before the draft about how he ran through them in practice consistently.
